Worldwide Festival Sète announces first names for 2016

- Floating Points, Kamasi Washington, Four Tet and MCDE are among the names confirmed to touch down in southern France this July.
- Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Festival will return to Sète, France, for July 4th through 11th. This year's edition sees the festival downsizing to a smaller setup—the organizers are not returning to the Saint-Christ square during the weekend as it "was too big and hardly profitable." the programme will instead focus on beach parties during the day, while the night action goes down at Théatre de la Mer. Running from 8 PM through 3 AM, the 2000-capacity open-air amphitheatre on the Mediterranean will welcome acts like '70s band The Pyramids, LA saxophonist Kamasi Washington, German beatmaker Max Graef and London producer Floating Points. On the DJ front, Matias Aguayo, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Four Tet have been locked in. More names will be announced in the coming weeks.
