  • Cassegrain are kicking off their own label, Arcing Seas, next month. Alex Tsiridis and Hüseyin Evirgren have been making music together as Cassegrain since 2010. With their deep, droning and often experimental take on techno, they became staples of the Prologue roster, also appearing on Killekill and M_Rec LTD along the way. (They've also collaborated a handful of times with Tin Man.) In 2013, via Our Circula Sound, the duo launched a new, initially anonymous project called Arcing Seas. It's an anagram for Cassegrain, and it's what they've christened their new label as well. With the opposing aliases in mind, the duo say the new label is intended to present "three new and different directions, pushing Cassegrain's sound forward and showcasing their versatility." Arcing Seas will be a new regular home for their music, and Tsiridis will get back in touch with his design roots by handling the artwork. The first release features a hand-screen-printed sleeve, and the first 50 copies will come with a zine of drawings by Tony Savas. Tracklist A1 Cruel Intentions A2 Skull Gun B Trappist Arcing Seas will release ARCS01 on May 13th, 2016.
