Container, Inhalants to play new Boston festival, HEAD EXPLODE.GIF

- HEAD EXPLODE.GIF will take place at a TBA location in Chinatown on May 6th, then head to an art gallery in Cambridge on the 7th. The new festival skews towards the noisier, industrial side of techno, with a special focus on live hardware sets. Rhode Island producer Container will top the lineup alongside a number of acts from Brooklyn's DIY scene, including Via App, Cienfuegos, Pvre Matrix and Inhalants, the L.I.E.S.-affiliated duo of Jahiliyya Fields and Patricia. Boston's own Isabella is also on the bill (you can hear a recording of her live set from last month here, at the 1:41:00 mark), as is Philly producer Profligate and UNO label artist Gobby (who'll be returning to play in his hometown). The first night goes down at a Chinatown location TBA, and then the festival moves to Out of the Blue Too Art Gallery in Cambridge the following night.
