- The UK producer's new record is a "breakneck psychedelic journey through hardcore, jungle, and ambient."
Lone will release his next album, Levitate, on May 27th.
UK artist Matt Cutler first teased the new record last month, offering up first single "Backtail Was Heavy" via a UK landline. Levitate is a nine-track, 34-minute "breakneck psychedelic journey through hardcore, jungle, and ambient," say R&S Records, who are releasing the record.
The album follows 2014's Reality Testing, which apparently left Cutler in something of a creative slump. Inspiration for Levitate struck while he was ill and bedridden on a trip to New York.
"It was pretty terrifying," he says. "I'd try to go to sleep and I'd be hearing these mad rave tunes form in my head. When I recovered I was left with all these ideas for fast, feverish tunes. Following that we went to LA and hung out with friends, driving round all day in the baking sun playing these jungle and hardcore edits... I couldn't wait to get home and start putting this together. I had a new theme."
Take a listen to second single "Vapour Trail."
