  • DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted label is preparing its first releases of 2016. Deeply Rooted (formerly known as Deeply Rooted House) has been quiet since last summer's EP from Fang, a house-leaning collaboration between DJ Deep, AKA Cyril Etienne des Rosaies, and fellow Frenchman Roman Poncet that counted as the label's 50th overall release. There's now two more records set to land in relatively quick succession. Arriving next Monday is a new Cuts EP from the label chief himself, the second entry in a series that began two years ago. Then in early June, des Rosaies and Poncet will put out another collaborative 12-inch from their Adventice moniker, which surfaced on Tresor last year with nearly an hour's worth of material across three EPs. Weeding is the name of this four-tracker, and it marks the project's Deeply Rooted debut. After these two, the label's next release is scheduled to arrive in September, though no further details are available at the moment. Check out samples for DJ Deep Cuts Volume 2 below.
