  • Echospace's latest album will come out next week. Sea Shell City was inspired by, and features, late artist and producer Michael Mantra. Mantra was a proponent for the healing properties of sound, and made music that was meant to relax the mind and trigger endorphin release. The label calls the three-part, 70-minute album "a voyage into the furthest depths of the mind... where gentle waves of organic harmonics induce an almost meditative state of being." For this one, Echospace members Rod Modell and Stephen Hitchell used hydrophones, wind harps, binaural microphones and piezoelectric transducers to make "snapshots of normally unheard sonic worlds." Tracklist 01. Sea Shell City - Morning 02. Sea Shell City - Afternoon 03. Sea Shell City - Night echospace [detroit] will release Sea Shell City on May 26th, 2016.
