The beachside spot is relaunching after being devastated by fire earlier this year.
The beachside venue, located in Bloemendaal in North Holland, was badly damaged by a blaze on the evening of January 18th. The summer spot's storage room was decimated, destroying a significant amount of equipment and delaying the start of its upcoming season, which was due to begin in April. Organisers have now announced that the venue will relaunch with a three-part session next weekend.
Local DJs feature heavily across the opening events. The first party on Friday, June 3rd, will host slots by Johan, Tino, Steef & Jurk, followed by sets from Gallowstreet and the Woodstock Residents for the second party on Saturday the 4th (both events are sold out). Hunee and Gerd Janson are locked in for the Sunday the 5th. The following weeks will see Âme (June 12th), Hernan Cattaneo (July 10th) and Mano Le Tough (August 21st) touch down for slots, with more name to be announced soon.
"We were shaken up, but the team came together really quickly afterwards to make a a plan to reopen as soon as possible," the Woodstock'69 team told us about the fire. "After the news got out, so many people supported us. From collections to people who wanted to help rebuild, it was amazing to see so many people come together and show their love."
They add: "We lost two whole months of programming, so we needed to cancel a lot of dates. Luckily, all the promotors we work with were super understanding and worked with us to find a good solution. The team has worked around the clock, day after day, to make sure we could open our doors again in June. Steef, the owner, has redesigned the whole place together with our building crew, which is absolutely incredible in such a short period of time."
Tickets to Woodstock'69, including next Sunday's opening, are available here on RA.
