  • Music From Memory will release a collection of Michal Turtle's music in July and a compilation of outré Brazilian music next year. The Amsterdam label, run by Jamie Tiller along with Red Light Records purveyors Abel Nagengast and Tako Reyenga, released a 12-inch of early '80s recordings from obscure Croydon-based musician Turtle last year. The previously teased 15-track collection, Phantoms Of Dreamland, collects a couple tunes from Turtle's sole album, 1983's Music From The Living Room, as well as 13 unreleased songs from the same sessions. The label, which has given us valuable reissues from Workdub and Dip In The Pool this year, also took to its Facebook to announce a forthcoming collection called Outro Tempo: Electronic and Contemporary Music from Brazil, 1978-1992. That one is compiled by Madrid-born, London-based record digger John Gómez and explores "the outer edges of Brazilian music; where indigenous rhythms mix with synthesizers and where música popular brasileira mingles with drum computers." Music From Memory posted Andréa Daltro's "KIUA" as taste of what's to come from Outro Tempo, which is out next year. There's no tracklist for that one yet.
