- The industrial techno purveyor will make his debut on Powell's label this week.
Container will debut on Diagonal Records with the five-track Vegetation EP, out this Friday.
Ren Schofield is a natural fit for Diagonal Records, who are known for their noisy, post-punk approach to techno. He's signed on for a five-track EP, Vegetation, which the label admits they've been sitting on for about a year now. They describe it as "five fanged and venomous 'floor tools" built from "inorganic, metallic tang and skiddling patterns." Diagonal bosses Powell and Jaime Williams will cross the pond in a couple of months for a fifth-anniversary tour of the US and Canada, accompanied by label artists Not Waving and Russell Haswell.
