  • A new Ostgut Ton sublabel called A-TON will launch with an archival album from Luke Slater as The 7th Plain. Ostgut Ton say A-TON will lean towards "ambient, archive and alternative music." First up is Chronicles I, which pulls together a mix of previously released and unheard material from The 7th Plain. It'll land on digital, CD and double-vinyl formats on August 5th. Slater will play live as The 7th Plain at Elektroakustischer Salon / Halle Am Berghain in Berlin on August 14th. Slater also has a few releases under his Planetary Assault Systems alias in the works. There's a new album under that name coming through Ostgut Ton on September 30th, while the first in a series of records celebrating 22 years of Planetary Assault Systems (under the banner Planetary Funk 22 Light Years) just landed on Slater's own Mote-Evolver label. There will also be a Planetary Funk 22 Light Years tour in 2016, with dates in Zurich, Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, London, Milan, Berlin, Rome and Tilburg. The Berlin leg is happening at Berghain on July 16th, with Slater DJing together with Steve Bicknell and Function as LSD. Listen to snippets of Chronicles I.
