  • Giorgio Moroder has re-signed with disco label Casablanca Records. The 76-year-old will release a new record on Casablanca this year, though full details are yet to be announced. The move sees the Italian back on the label that released Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" in 1977, one of many hit tunes produced by Moroder. Casablanca also released a number of Moroder's solo albums, including From Here To Eternity, Love's In You, Love's In Me and E=MC². "It just makes sense, it feels like home," Moroder said. "I am so excited to share new music with you and to work with the Casablanca family. Casablanca from here to eternity." Moroder returned to the spotlight in 2014, appearing on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. The following year he released his own album, Déjà Vu. Casablanca was one of disco's era-defining labels. These days it's part of the Republic Records/Universal Music Group.
