Incognito and Dirty Epic will host the Berlin techno lynchpin in August.
Fengler is best known via his long-running association with Ostgut Ton, both the label (on which he released his 2013 LP Focus) and the infamous Berghain club, where he was a resident since 2005. He recently parted ways with Ostgut, and issued the Kyu EP on his own Index Marcel Fengler imprint back in June. RA's Andrew Ryce commented on Fengler's evolution in his positive review of that one, saying "It's not hard to see why Fengler might have wanted a fresh start—judging from Kyu, he's got a fresh new sound."
LA promoters Incognito and Dirty Epic also came together to present a heady techno lineup back in March—that one featured Benjamin Damage and local star Truncate. Fengler is set to play for four hours at their August event.
