LCD Soundsystem curates Mexican destination festival, Beach Vibes

- The first Beach Vibes gathering will happen in Riviera Maya on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula over the weekend of January 26th. The Yucatan festival will see two nights of headlining shows from James Murphy's LCD Soundsystem, and the band has invited a roster of DFA affiliates and disco-inclined peers to join them. DFA mainstays Hot Chip, Holy Ghost!, Juan Maclean and Shit Robot are on the bill, as are close affiliates Tim Sweeney and Eric Duncan. Killer Mike and El-P's popular rap group Run The Jewels will also perform in the tropical setting, as will The Black Madonna, Detroit second-wave icon Carl Craig, Horse Meat Disco and LA band Poolside. Deep diggers like DJ Harvey, Felix Dickinson and Lovefingers will bring Balearic vibes to the setting. The all-inclusive festival offers guests a choice of six beachside resorts for accommodation, as well as opportunities for snorkeling and cave exploration.
