Trip's latest concept album will land on July 22nd.
Sleep Not Found is the next in a series of various artists double EPs that have come to define the imprint. Past editions have included tracks from label boss Nina Kraviz, Bjarki, Aphex Twin and Terrence Dixon. This one marks the Trip debut of Maayan Nidam, along with label regulars Exos, Roma Zuckerman and Deniro. Bjarki also appears under the name Bbbbbb, while Alan Backdrop contributes the 13-minute "Glicine" as A_000.
The theme this time around is sleep deprivation. "When you don’t sleep enough the world appears to be a different place," says the press release, "compared to the way it is when the mind is fully rested. In such cases very different scenarios may occur."
In addition to the concept albums, Trip recently announced a series of Bjarki solo LPs.
