Paradigm, Collaboraction Theatre Company and California crew Desert Hearts are hosting the event next weekend.
Billed as a "festival fundraiser for peace," One City will set up at the Space Stage Studios & Courtyard in West Town, hosted by techno and house promoter Paradigm, California party people Desert Hearts and Collaboraction Theatre Company, a non-profit organization devoted to raising awareness for social issues in Chicago. (The city has seen a sharp rise in gun violence this year.) Proceeds from the event will go towards Collaboraction's peace-focused work, and the day's programming features DJs, musicians, peace activists and "theatrical elements" from PEACEBOOK, the non-profit's own touring festival.
Lee Foss, now based in Los Angeles, will be back in Chicago for the occasion, and his collaborator, LA singer Anabel Englund, is confirmed as well. Desert Hearts DJs Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Deep Jesus, Marbs and Porkchop will all have turns on the decks, along with DJ Heather, Halo Varga and Gene Farris.
