  • Behringer's forthcoming synthesiser is the DeepMind12. The German company revealed specifications and images of the DeepMind12 while teasing out details of the new product in a series of short promotional videos over the past month. The DeepMind12 is a 12-voice, analogue polyphonic design available with a four-octave keyboard. However, Uli Behringer has said that a desktop and rack mount version could be in the works. As it stands, the ultimate design is not yet finalised and subject to feedback from the public. There are two digitally controlled oscillators per voice and two LFOs while effects are supplied by four engines with 30 algorithms each. The effects themselves have been designed by TC Electronics and Klark Teknik and appear to offer multiple routing options. Behringer claim to have achieved a "world first" by including built-in Wifi, facilitating control of the synths' parameters on a tablet. There's currently no word on price or availability.
