  • The shortlist for the 2016 Mercury Prize has been announced. Skepta, ANOHNI, Radiohead and David Bowie feature among a typically varied collection of rock and indie acts, which also includes Bat For Lashes, Savages and The 1975. On the grime front, Sketpa's Konnichiwa (reviewed here by Hugh Taylor) is joined by Kano's Made In The Manor, while Radiohead get the nod for A Moon Shaped Pool (reviewed here by Angus Finlayson), the group's ninth studio album. ANOHNI, the former leader of Antony & The Johnsons, is shortlisted for Hopelessness, and the late David Bowie makes the cut with his 25th and final studio album, Blackstar.
