- The improvisational trio will release a 12-inch on Max D's label in September.
The next record from Magic Mountain High is out on DC-based imprint Future Times on September 12th.
The trio comprising David Moufang (AKA Move D), Gal Aner and Jordan Czamanski (AKA Juju & Jordash) has slowly issued material over the past four years, mostly culled from their fully-improvised live shows. Their output to date has come mostly via Workshop and Czamanski's Off Minor Recordings. The new one revolves around "Spacepod," a track featuring pitched-up vocals from Czamanski (who mixed down Future Times' boss Max D's recent Boost LP). The label calls the track a "demented ode to mindflight," indicating the song, which puts a cosmic spin on marijuana smoking, "is definitely one for the end-of-the-night-squad." The 12-inch features an acapella, a club dub and a "Podlover's Mix," the latter courtesy of Move D.
Spacepod follows 2016 Future Times releases from Motion Graphics, Rhythm Based Lovers and Will DiMaggio.
