The two Midwest-rooted producers will release a collaborative record next month.
The Chicago-based Arthur emerged a couple years ago with some no-nonsense acid EPs released anonymously. Magda met him years before those records came out. "The pair first encountered each other at the famous Motor City record store Record Time," the label says, "when Detroit artist [and Interdimensional Transmissions head] BMG introduced his then co-workers Magda and Derek Plaslaiko to Arthur, who was visiting the shop from Chicago." These three cuts stem from a week-long studio session where Magda and Arthur recorded direct to analog tape.
The self-titled Blotter Trax EP is the second on Arthur's (312) imprint, following May's Psychedelic Relics EP.
(312) Records will release Blotter Trax on September 12th, 2016.
