Sheefy McFly's Edward Elecktro EP is out on Mahogani Music now.
Sheefy McFly's Twitter bio reads "Visual Artist, Producer/DJ, Rapper/Host, Detroit Legend." The music on his new record, Edward Elecktro, follows in the tradition of larger-than-life pimp lore, the same territory Mahogani boss Moodymann has been exploring for some time now. Musically, as well, it's easy to pick up on what the Detroit house don sees in McFly's music. The six tunes on Edward Elecktro skirt electro, soul, funk and ghetto house, with McFly's Detroit Grand Pubahs-style rapping running throughout. McFly, real name Tashif Turner, is also responsible for the colorful cover art.
