- The famous 1973 composition was the inspiration behind the US producer's next record.
Levon Vincent has a new 12-inch coming out on his own Novel Sound label.
The record's B-side is titled "Tubular Bells (Oldfield)." Vincent told RA that the tune is "technically a cover" of Mike Oldfield's 1973 composition. (It's fully licensed, too.) The A-side, meanwhile, is titled "Birds"—it's the first acid cut Vincent has released in 12 years, and it contains hundreds of field recordings of birds.
It'll be Vincent's second release of 2016, following the NS-12 EP that came out in May. (This one's titled NS-14, suggesting that either Vincent is superstitious or that NS-13 is still in the works.) As Juno Plus report, NS-14 will come out on August 22nd.
