  • Matrixxman will head back to San Francisco for a headlining gig at The Great Northern on September 30th. Though he recently moved to Berlin, Matrixxman, real name Charlie Duff, maintains close ties to the Bay Area. Back in June he put out a split single with his former studio mate Vin Sol on the Club Lonely label, the imprint stemming from a Bay Area night where Duff previously manned the fog machine. The pairing with rising NYC DJ (and Chicago veteran) Honey Dijon might seem odd at first, with Duff's tough techno sound butting up against Dijon's warm house vibe, but the close friends have also co-headlined infamous LA gay party Spotlight. The San Francisco show is put on by Lights Down Low and goes down at The Great Northern, the new club at the address of the old, well-established Mighty venue. Listen to Honey Dijon's RA Exchange podcast.
