Theo Parrish, Gilles Peterson, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Floating Points will join the month-long festivities in November.
J.A.W will mark its tenth anniversary with a series of parties taking place in Paris and Berlin from November 8th through 20th.
The festivities will start in Berlin with live performances coming from Blue Note's Robert Glasper Experiment and New Orleans trumpet player Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah at Yaam on November 8th. Manchester jazz ensemble Gogo Penguin will follow on the 11th at Bi Nuu. The week after, J.A.W will head to Paris, bringing London artist Yussef Kamaal and Sound Signature boss Theo Parrish to La Machine Du Moulin Rouge on the 17th.
The same weekend, J.A.W. will take over Berlin venue Prince Charles for three consecutive nights. Floating Points and Hunee will headline the first night on November 18th, followed by Theo Parrish, who will perform a six-hour set on the 19th. The series finishes on the 20th with a jazz-focused back-to-back set from Gilles Peterson and Motor City Drum Ensemble.
Originally based in Paris, the J.A.W collective has been promoting soulful music since 2005, hosting the like of Larry Heard, Moodymann and Omar-S. In 2009, its three founders relocated to Berlin, where they held events in spots like Horst, Neue Heimat, Prince Charles, Astra, YAAM and Silent Green.
