- The release takes another look at David Moufang's House Grooves 12-inch, originally released in 1993.
Move D Presents House Grooves Vol. 1 is out via Misfit Melodies on October 14th.
The four-track vinyl collection sees the well-loved house producer (real name David Moufang) looking back on some of his first productions. The press release references the influences leading to the 1993 effort, saying the Vol 1 12-inch, which saw Moufang going under the name House Grooves, was constructed using "strict rhythms and nu grooves." Vol 1 tracks like the low-key classic "I Gave My Love" make the original highly sought-after. That one appears on Presents House Grooves Vol. 1 along with a new remix from Gerd Janson and Shan that stays reverent to the '90s house feel. Edits of House Grooves cuts "Deep" (from mysterious Running Back affiliate DJ Oyster) and "Babyphonk" (by DJ Chicken) round out the EP.
