  • DJ Shadow will sell records and other collectors items from his stash at Rappcats in Los Angeles on September 10th and 11th. Rappcats hosts sporadic pop-up events every couple months at their Highland Park headquarters. In about two weeks they'll host the first-ever Annual DJ Shadow Storage Sale, with a haul of used records, tapes and posters from his collection, plus a new limited-edition vinyl record—The Sideshow, a cut off his recent album, The Mountain Will Fall. Shadow will also unearth back catalogue from his own projects, much of which was never even sold through his web store. "This is a chance for producers, dealers and DJs to access seldom-seen and eclectic vinyl at affordable prices," says Shadow. "These are all records I have other copies of, and I’ve decided that I don’t need to keep multiples. Think of it as a year-long thrift store hunt consolidated into two days." The shop opens from noon to 6 PM at 5636 York Boulevard in Highland Park.
