The Avalanches plot Australian headline shows

- The Australian group have locked in January dates for Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
- The Avalanches will play standalone gigs in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide next January. The Melbourne group finally dropped their second album, Wildflower, back in July after a 16-year gap between releases. (Their iconic debut, Since I Left You, came out back in 2001.) Following a handful of festival dates in DJ mode, they also performed live for the first time in nearly as long at Splendour In The Grass in Byron Bay. Now they're gearing up for three headline shows around Australia. The full Avalanches band hits Melbourne Town Hall on January 3rd and Sydney's Enmore Theatre on the 5th, with hip hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash on support for both dates. They then head to Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide on January 7th where they'll be joined by local outfit Bad//Dreems. Listen to The Avalanches' Essential Mix.
