  • Trans Pecos has shared details of its fall schedule. Brooklyn promoter PopGun—the crew behind the soon-to-open venue Elsewhere—has signed on to book some of Trans Pecos' events. They also hired DJ and producer John Barera as a talent buyer for their more house and techno-focused nights. He's booked six upcoming gigs at Trans Pecos, starting with DJ Bone and Aurora Halal on October 1st. Next up is the bewildering experimental artist Anklepants, whom readers may know for the mask he wears with a penis instead of a nose (or for his 2015 album, Social Patching And The Pixel Pageant Facéd Boy). Montreal house head Project Pablo—who debuted on Clone Royal Oak a couple weeks ago—will play live on October 14th, then on the 22nd it's Detroit acid jock Jared Wilson with DJ Wey and Justin Cudmore. Midwestern disco selector Gay Marvine will headline on November 12th, followed by the LA-based Modularz boss Developer on the 19th. There are a few other electronic dates of note that aren't PopGun gigs coming up as well: the Broke City anniversary on Friday with DJ Spider and Joey Anderson, Max Graef and Glenn Astro this Saturday, as well as the Dave Harrington Group on October 2nd. Nothing Changes will host techno industrialist Phase Fatale on the 7th. Tickets for all of the upcoming PopGun events are available here on RA.
