  • A street protest in support of saving London's nightlife will take place on Saturday, October 8th, in East London. The march has been set up in response to Islington council's recent decision to revoke fabric's license, making the Farringdon club the latest in a long line of venues to have shut in the capital. The march will set off from Hoxton Square in Shoreditch at 1 PM, following a route through East London. Protesters are encouraged to "to dress up and bring a musical instrument," says one of the organisers, Nicole Venter. For more info, head to the official Facebook page. The march also coincides with Session at The Bridge, a joint fundraiser for fabric and Greenwich club Studio 338, which burnt down in August. Levon Vincent will headline. You can still donate to fabric's fundraising campaign. The club is raising money to fund its appeal against Islington council's decision. The current total stands at more than £230K.
