UK label BBE will celebrate two decades in business with a compilation titled Attitude, Belief & Determination.
BBE, which stands for Barely Breaking Even, has amassed a wide-ranging catalogue that spans house, disco, funk and hip-hop. The anniversary compilation takes its name from a rare Martin L. Dumas track that BBE reissued recently. (The tune appeared on Sadar Bahar's RA podcast a few months back.) Attitude, Belief & Determination contains music by the likes of Pépé Bradock, J Dilla, John Morales, Jazzy Jeff, King Britt and even Drake, who features on Slakah The Beatchild's 2008 tune "Bad Meaning Good."
