  • A relapse of acute fatigue syndrome has forced Cio D'Or to cancel all her upcoming gigs. The producer, who's known for a melodic brand of deep and minimal techno, made the announcement over Facebook in late September. In a brief post, Cio D'Or, real name Cio Dorbandt, explains that she's been diagnosed with a relapse of acute fatigue syndrome due to taking on too much work in recent times. A respected member of the techno community, Dorbandt had been linked to Munich's now-defunct Ultraschall club since the '90s, and has released music on labels such as Prologue, Semantica and Time To Express since emerging as a producer in the mid-'00s. Read Dorbandt's statement in full.
"Dear friends, music friends and clients, Reality check: After too much work in the last time, I have been diagnosed with a relapse of acute fatigue syndrome (burnout). I am therefore not able to answer your requests during this time. We have also cancelled all future gigs for now. I am really very sorry! My lovely agent Naty from Aleatory-am [email protected] will provide you with any information you need and answer all your requests. Thanks for your patience!"
