  • Jeff Mills was hit by a bottle at the opening of Club Area 42 in central Spain last weekend. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning during a power cut, reports Spanish clubbing site Techno Experience. (A statement from the club confirmed the time as 4:30 AM.) While the venue was plunged into darkness, someone from the crowd threw a bottle in the direction of the DJ booth, causing Mills to leave the stage. He then returned and finished his set. "We can't understand how someone can visit a place where the only aim is to enjoy yourself, and commit an act like this," said the club via Facebook. This isn't the first time Mills has been involved in an incident like this—in 2013, a glass hit him on the head during a show at Atlantico in Rome. Club Area 42 is a new 4,000-capacity nightclub located just outside Toledo in the town of Olías Del Rey. Steve Aoki is scheduled to play next week.
