The new format gives artists a 30-minute blank canvas.
The idea behind the series is to give artists 20 to 30 minutes to show off original work, whether that's a live recording, an extended piece or a mixtape of shorter tracks and sketches. Each tape comes with two copies ("one for you, one for a friend," says the label), along with a zine designed by the artist.
The first four releases are out today. Huerco S provides an "extended ambient piece," while New York producer Aquarian explores his experimental side. There are also tapes from LA band BABY and New York's MONEY.
You can stream the Huerco S tape in full, or check out all of them over at Bandcamp.
All four Quiet Time tapes are out now.
