  • The team behind Dalston Superstore, Voodoo Ray's and the recently closed Dance Tunnel are opening a new cocktail bar in Dalston, London. Ray's Bar's home is 95 Kingsland Road—the same spot where Dance Tunnel was located—and will open to the general public on Thursday, November 3rd. It'll offer high-end cocktails, DJs and "an audiophile soundsystem," according to a press release, with a music policy that spans disco, afro, pop, jazz and soul. Lineups are still TBA. There will be space to seat around 50 people, with decor that promises "eye-catching monochrome patterns and mesmerising mirrored disco walls." Customers will also be able to order pizza from Voodoo Ray's to their table. Doors will shut at 1 AM from Sunday through Wednesday, at 2 AM on Thursday, and at 3 AM on Friday and Saturday. Ray's Bar owner Dan Beaumont contributed to an RA feature about the future of UK nightlife earlier this year—read it here.
