- Gentrified Love Part 2 is out on Parrish's Sound Signature now.
A new EP called Gentrified Love Part 2, from Theo Parrish, Duminie DePorres and Waajeed, popped up on the Sound Signature store today.
Parrish previously collaborated with DePorres on a 2007 full-length called Et Tu Brute. (DePorres also put out a 12-inch on Sound Signature 11 years ago, Dark Matters.) Dirt Tech Reck boss Waajeed is also on the new one, following three 2015 releases for his own label under various aliases. Gentrified Love Part 2 is the first new music from Parrish since his 2014 album American Intelligence, and the new, collaborative EP has two cuts labeled C1 and D1. Judging from the title, it follows a first volume that hasn't been released yet.
In the time since American Intelligence, Parrish has kept up a busy DJ schedule. He's also put out music from the likes of Hanna and Byron The Aquarius, in addition to two lengthy compilations, These Songs That Should've Been Out On Wax By Now Part One and Part Two, through Sound Signature.
