Victoria is the first cab off the ranks for the state finals of the 2003 DMC Technics DJ Championship. The event will be held at the HiFi bar on Thursday 24th of July where entrants get the chance to shows their skillz and daring on the decks in this make or break competition of turntabilism. The World DJ Championships has been happening for 17 years and DJs from 30 countries take part so the stakes are high in this competition!
The Victorian finals will be hosted by Reason and Troy and feature live acts Bias B and friends with DJs Bonez (NSW) and guests. Judging on the night will be Kuya, Jimmy Nails, Bonez, Sophistacutz, DJ Next, and Reflux.
The contestants will be playing for prizes such as: First prize - an Apple iPod, Technics headphones, $500 General Pants gift voucher, Ortofon cartridge (1st prize); Second prize - Technics headphones, UDG Record bag; and Third prize - Technics Headphones, Ortofon slipmats.
