- The BBC Radio 1 DJ's first official mix is out in December.
Benji B has overseen a triple-disc compilation titled Deviation Volume 1.
The package includes two discs of unmixed tunes and one CD containing the BBC Radio 1 DJ's first official mix. Due out on December 16th, it'll be released on Benji B's Deviation Music label. "Deviation has come to represent a particular sound, one that's been shaped by the club night, radio show and DJ sets," says Benji B. "It's listening music and music for the dance floor. There are so many facets and so much history to this sound, but I decided to make this first compilation a very current snapshot of what Deviation sounds like in 2016."
Deviation Volume 1 contains tunes from the likes of Jamie xx, Jam City, Flying Lotus, FKA twigs, Kelela, James Blake, Radiohead, Tame Impala, Pearson Sound, Midland, Hunee, Hudson Mohawke and D'Angelo. It also introduces two new signings to the Deviation Music label: California MC Ta'East and Colorado producer GILA.
