Different Sleep will release his first LP via Friends Of Friends on January 27th.
LA's Rafa Alvarez is one of a few young artists to sign to the label in recent years, alongside Kyson and COMBAT! He's released a handful of records via the long-time LA label, showcasing a laid-back sound influenced by R&B and hip-hop. The press release describes his new album as "a multifaceted affair" that exists "on a distinctly pop level." It features Alvarez's first vocal turn, as well as guest spots from Angelina Lucero (who has worked with Friends Of Friends label-mate Jerome LOL), Canadian producer Deebs and a handful of others.
