  • Bucharest venue Club Guesthouse has revamped its soundsystem. The popular spot, currently one of Romania's key nightclubs, now boasts a Funktion-One rig and upgraded acoustic treatment. Speaking with RA, sound engineer Mihnea Opartan explained that new acoustic absorbers and resonator panels had been installed. Reverb time is now between 0.35 and 0.45 seconds, which contributes to a more accurate sound. The soundsystem itself comprises four dual 21-inch subwoofers and four Resolution 2 cabinets, powered by MC2 Audio Amplifiers. "The dance floor is configured as a four-point cross-stereo system," Opartan says, "which means that if you're on the dance floor, you will have a stereo or cross-stereo image wherever you turn." Located east of Bucharest's city centre, Club Guesthouse regularly hosts top-tier house and techno talent from home and abroad. The past weeks have seen DJs such as Petre Inspirescu, Alexandra, Rhadoo and Einzelkind touch down for sets.
