  • A new analogue monophonic synthesiser from Vermona is ready for purchase. The Vermona '14 Analogsynthesizer, which has been in the works since at least 2015, is now in production. Coming in a limited edition of 222 units, it attempts to blend sound design capabilities with a keyboard interface conducive to traditional playing styles. Vermona describe this as creating "equality of haptics and sound," giving instrumentalists the semi-weighted keys, pitch and mod wheels required for expressive performance in addition to a complete control set for shaping sonic parameters. The subtractive synthesis engine is based upon Vermona's PERfourMER MKII and Mono Lancet, consisting of two oscillators and a resonant low-pass filter with switchable slope settings. Both oscillators come with sub-oscillators and sine, saw and rectangle waveshapes with pulsewidth, while two four-stage envelopes and an LFO are on hand for modulation duties. The oscillators can be synced and FM is also possible. An arpeggiator is included with a mode called Order that creates an arp sequence that follows the order of keys depressed on the keyboard while a rest button can punch gaps in said sequence, which can then be saved and transposed. The Vermona 14 Analogsynthesizer is available now for 2400€.
