Incubate festival, the experimental-leaning Tilburg, Netherlands gathering, has ended.
In a statement on its website, Incubate attributes closure to the Municipality of Tilburg’s decision to cut off funding, which came after the Province of Noord-Brabant cut off financial support for the next four years. The statement reads, "The organisation finds it financially irresponsible to continue and will therefore cease its activities."
Over the past 13 years, Incubate has hosted the likes of Psychic TV, Pauline Oliveros, Sun Ra Arkestra, James Blake, Shackleton and Psychic TV in Tilburg, as well as authors and visual artists.
