The French producer's first film score will be released as an EP on Lumière Noire Records this month.
Chloé Thévenin's first film score sees the Parisian producer—who established herself throughout the '00s with releases on labels like Kill The DJ and BPitch Control—working with Algerian musicians playing traditional instruments. According to the label, the "traditional Algerian music remains unfettered at times, while elsewhere, the electronic aspects take over." Although this is the first feature-length film work from both Thévenin and Leber Terki, the two have collaborated on a number of occasions in the past: Thévenin has scored all of Leber Terki's previous short films, while Leber Terki has directed Chloé music videos.
