  • Grimes' breakthrough 2012 album Visions is the subject of a new classical work by Canadian ensemble Plumes. Plumes Ensemble is a rotating chamber group fronted by Veronica Charnley, who conceived of the idea to adapt the Grimes LP back in 2015. As MusicWorks reports, the group commissioned 13 different composers to adapt each of the album's tracks. In addition to Charnley herself, composers like Tawnie Olson, Stephanie Moore, Isaiah Ceccarelli and Giorgio Magnanensi all contributed. It was the subject of an Indiegogo campaign. Now Plumes Ensemble is taking the Visions show across Canada this month, and they plan to record the shows for streaming.
