  • Hard Wax's Killasan sound system will be used at two events showcasing Italy's Terraforma Festival. The Killasan rig was designed in Jamaica and built in Florida for the Japanese reggae crew called Killasan Movement. Originally housed in a club called Jugglin Link City in Osaka, the system was relocated to Berlin in 2001. It was passed on to Mark Ernestus of Basic Channel and Hard Wax fame, becoming the much-loved sound system for the record store's Wax Treatment parties. The equipment touches down in Italy for the first time this April, visiting Milan on the 22nd and Rome on the 25th. The Milan date features Killasan regulars Fiedel and Burnt Friedman along with Morphine Records head Rabih Beaini, Palm Wine and Roger Robinson & Disrupt. The Rome lineup will see Ernestus playing with Tikiman and other Wax Treatment mainstays like DJ Pete and Shackleton. Beatrice Dillon, Herva and dj Khalab are also booked. Terraforma itself goes down at the Villa Arconati from June 23rd to 25th with the likes of GAS, Mala and Arpanet already confirmed. Photo credit: Daniel Sansavini
