The Bunker New York will release an album from Gunnar Haslam called Kalaatsakia in June.
Gunnar Haslam's Scale No Flam 12-inch, which came out on The Bunker last month, was his first solo release for the label, following a collaborative album with Tin Man as Romans. He's previously had three full-lengths for L.I.E.S., and a number of EPs for outlets like Mister Saturday Night and Delsin. His forthcoming LP, Kalaatsakia, "sprawls across the intersections of techno and more abstract sounds," the label says, while taking rhythmic cues from Caribbean styles like dub, dancehall and calypso.
