Oneohtrix Point Never has scored a new crime thriller starring Robert Pattinson called Good Time, which comes out this summer.
The news broke via The Playlist last week, and was later confirmed on Twitter by the film's directors, Ben and Joshua Safdie. They describe the score as if OPN "took everything he learned on R Plus Seven, Replica, Garden Of Delete and did a sequel to Rifts"—referring to his 2009 five-disc box set.
He also collaborated with Iggy Pop on a track that appears in the first trailer for the film. That news emerged from a Rolling Stone interview last month, where Iggy Pop said that the Safdie brothers convinced him to work with "an electronic producer with an unpronounceable name" (Rolling Stone editors clarify in a note that he's talking about Oneohtrix Point Never). "I had a ball doing that," he said. "It was challenging musically."
