  • Keep Sydney Open have announced a multi-venue festival, Meet Me In The Cross, taking place in Kings Cross on July 1st. Since the city's lockout laws were introduced back in 2014, Keep Sydney Open has rallied behind local nightlife and fought to end the controversial licensing measures, hosting several large protest marches and events. This time the organisation will work with a range of venues and promoters in Kings Cross, one of Sydney's primary nightlife precincts in which businesses have been hit hardest by lockouts. One ticket will gain entry to seven different venues for the July 1st event including The World Bar, Kings Cross Hotel, Crane Bar and Candys Apartment. Lineup details are still to come, but promoters and labels like Astral People, Future Classic, Lovebombs, T1000 and WeLove will be involved in the programming. The night will run until 3 AM, with local food vendors also participating in the event. KSO campaign director Tyson Koh says "we all know it has suffered in recent times, but the truth is venues are still kicking in the Cross—you can still see great local live bands and dance to amazing music. Now it's time to support the venues and artists that make this city great in the best way possible: by having a party!"
