  • Max D will open a Future Times pop-up record store a few times this summer. This Saturday, the Future Times office will open for the first time to record shoppers in the DC area. The grand opening will feature music and refreshments in addition to new titles from Future Times, fellow DC labels like Peoples Potential Unlimited, World Building, 1432 R and Partial Magic, plus other imprints like FXHE, Sound Signature, PAN, L.I.E.S, Mathematics, Wild Oats, Music From Memory, Wah Wah Wino and RVNG Intl. Max D (real name Andrew Field-Pickering) says their used stock includes "'jazz, dub, jungle, kwaito, Basic Channel/Maurizio, Sky Records, synth pop, Warp Records, Axis and more." The store will be open from noon until 7 PM this Saturday at 3251 Mt Pleasant St NW, Washington, DC 20010 (buzz the third floor).
