  • Matias Aguayo's band, The Desdemonas, is putting out an album in October. The group is a four-piece rock band that features Aguayo playing instruments and singing. First revealed back in 2016, The Desdemonas are inspired by the music the Chilean artist loved as a teenager. Through lyrics, cartoons and music videos the band tells the story of a group of kids living in a dystopian world. Their first album, Sofarnopolis, will land in October via Crammed Discs, and while there's no tracklist yet, you can check out first single "Nervous," which is about a "nightly encounter with a girl floating in purple light and glowing in the dark." Other members of the band include German keyboardist Henning Specht, Colombian guitarist Gregorio Gomez and Italian drummer Matteo Scrimali. The album follows Aguayo's collaboration with DJ Spoko earlier this year. Listen to "Nervous."
Crammed Discs will release Sofarnopolis in October 2017.
