  • Resident Advisor is bringing Helena Hauff to the US in July for her first stateside visit. After Los Angeles's FYF Fest confirmed Hauff for a slot on July 22nd, we decided to work with three of the best promoters in the country to add three more dates. The first event is happening on Thursday, July 20th, when Hauff headlines Make It New at Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just outside Boston. A week later, on Friday the 28th, she'll play a Mutual Dreaming party at Brooklyn Bazaar, along with resident Aurora Halal. And the next night we'll head to Chicago's smartbar—where we set up shop for In Residence last year—for a Hugo Ball event with Eris Drew, Justin Long and Sevron. Hauff will also appear at the 2017 edition of Sustain-Release in upstate New York later in the fall, which goes down from September 15th through 17th. Other names announced for the festival include Avalon Emerson, Josey Rebelle, DJ Qu going back-to-back with Joey Anderson, Convextion and more. In recent years Hauff has emerged as one of Europe's best DJs. Her signature style blends darker sounds—think techno, industrial, acid, EBM, post-punk and electro. She's also emerged as a formidable producer, with solo and collaborative records on labels like Panzerkreuz Records, Lux Rec, PAN and Actress's Werkdiscs. Watch a video teaser for Hauff's US dates.
