- Out later this month, it's the most expansive release so far for the UK artist.
Lone's label Magicwire is releasing a Ross From Friends double EP called The Outsiders.
A six-track set, The Outsiders is the fourth solo record from Ross From Friends, and the South London producer's first for Magicwire. With a running time of just over 40 minutes, it's also his lengthiest effort to date. He's had EPs on Lobster Theremin, Distant Hawaii and Breaker Breaker over the past two years.
The EP gets its name from S. E. Hinton's 1967 coming-of-age novel (which was adapted for a 1983 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola). Magicwire's announcement points out two quotes from the book, including an oft-repeated line that refers to a Robert Frost poem: "Stay gold, Ponyboy."
